Do you love animals? We sure do! Guess what? Alley Pond Environmental Center comes and visits us here at Ready Set Grow Pre-school in Nassau County! They bring numerous animals like turtles, doves, rabbits and lizards to show the children. The children get to interact with them, touch them, but most importantly, they learn about each one, their environment and how to care for them.
The Alley Pond environmental center is a non for profit organization that educates both adults and children on healthy environmental practices and how to protect it. This organization came to visit our children and help teach them more about contributing to green practices. All of the children were excited to meet the animals and learn all about different species. Some of the children at the preschool got the chance to hold the animals while others skeptical, kept their distance. Another child was insistent on petting the child and calling him T-Rex. Although the rabbit already had a name, he wouldn’t take no for an answer.
